This is what the process actually looks like
Most photographers show you the output. This is the operation behind it—the lighting setup, the rotation, the tethering station, and a full league moving through in one evening. Meadows Place Pony Baseball, fall media day. Published with the league's consent.

Stafford Stingrays 2025 — volume shoot, behind the scenes
Behind the scenes on a swim team volume day: the setup, the line, and the rotation that gets a full roster photographed without anyone standing around in a wet swimsuit.
The setup that makes it repeatable
Two softboxes, a fixed camera position, and a marked spot for the subject. Nothing moves once it is dialled in, which is exactly why the last team of the evening matches the first.
A full roster, team by team
Teams come to the mark together, get their group frame, then cycle through individuals while the next team stages. That is what keeps an evening moving instead of a line of children standing in uniform.
The parts nobody photographs
A tethering station so frames are checked on the spot rather than discovered later, and a crew working a park full of families without turning the evening into a queue.
